Dr. Zubair Bandukda formerly served as the organization’s leader, and before him, Mr. Tariq Ikram, a former CE of the Trade & Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), chairman of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), and minister of state, as well as Mr. Irfan Husain, a writer and intellectual.
The first chancellor of TIP was Dr. Eqbal Ahmad. Architect and philosopher Mr. Arif Hassan has held this role ever since Dr. Ahmad passed away. Mr. Abdul Majeed, a member of the National Textile Foundation, is the current chancellor of the Textile Institute of Pakistan.
