Ellipses (…) indicate trailing off or pauses within quotes (AP Style). Three dots with spaces between (option b) is standard. Option a misplaces the ellipsis; option c spaces incorrectly; option d suggests abrupt ending. Use four dots (…) for omitted text between sentences.
