Choose the sentence with the correct use of an ellipsis: 

1. She said… “I’ll be there soon.”
2. She said, “I’ll be there… soon.”,
3. She said “I’ll be there … soon.”
4. She said, “I’ll be there soon…”

 Ellipses (…) indicate trailing off or pauses within quotes (AP Style). Three dots with spaces between (option b) is standard. Option a misplaces the ellipsis; option c spaces incorrectly; option d suggests abrupt ending. Use four dots (…) for omitted text between sentences.
