Who is called Jami-ul-Quran?

“Jami-ul-Quran” (Compiler of the Quran) refers to Caliph Usman (R.A.) standardizing the Uthmanic codex in 650 CE. To resolve dialect disputes, he formed a committee under Zaid bin Thabit (R.A.) to produce 7 master copies sent to major cities, destroying variant texts. This preserved Quranic unity, as narrated in Sahih Bukhari (4986).
