The title “Abu Turab” (Father of Dust) was uniquely given to Hazrat Ali (RA) when the Prophet (ﷺ) found him sleeping in the mosque’s courtyard covered in dust. Wiping the dust off, the Prophet (ﷺ) affectionately called him by this name, which Ali (RA) cherished above all others. This incident symbolizes Ali’s humility and devotion, as he often slept in mosques to be near worship when not engaged in battle or governance duties.
