Hearing Surah Taha’s verses at his sister’s home softened Hazrat Umar’s (R.A.) heart before his 616 CE conversion. Verse 20:14 (“Indeed, I am Allah…”) particularly moved him, as recorded in Al-Isabah by Ibn Hajar. This marked Islam’s transition from secrecy to public preaching in Mecca.
