The Fajr prayer has 2 Fard rakahs, preceded by 2 Sunnah rakahs. It is the shortest obligatory prayer but holds immense spiritual weight. The Quran mentions Fajr as a time of divine blessings (17:78). The Prophet (PBUH) described it as witnessed by angels and a shield against hypocrisy. Its timing—at dawn—symbolizes awakening to faith and gratitude. Missing Fajr deliberately is severely warned against in Hadith.
