Hazrat Ali (RA) was born into the noble Banu Hashim clan of the Quraysh tribe, the same lineage as Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). This prestigious genealogy connected him directly to Prophet Ibrahim (AS). The Banu Hashim were known for their leadership in pre-Islamic Mecca and later became the standard-bearers of Islam. Ali’s (RA) father, Abu Talib, was the chief of Banu Hashim, making Ali’s (RA) early life one of privilege before he embraced Islam’s simplicity.
